Women of ACA: Women, Wellness & Wealth Conference Recap

I’m incredibly passionate about estate planning and helping families protect their assets before their loved ones pass away. On March 15th, I had the opportunity to speak with the Women of ACA about building wealth for the family through estate planning. Over 300 women attended!

The event was great because I was able to discuss topics that mattered most to women. One piece of information I shared that seemed to surprise the audience was: There’s no such thing as being a little bit married. If you are married but separated, your spouse still has rights over the property. I’ve seen it happen before – where the wife died and her husband whom she was separated from comes back to secure the property.

Women do a lot to take care of their homes, spouses and children. We cannot neglect preserving the home too.

What I really enjoyed about the event was the eagerness these women had to get their finances in order. There was this sense of women who are taking control of their future through their finances.

It was a healthy environment for women to create a better financial future for themselves and for their children.

The next event I’ll speak at is the 2nd Annual Building Black Wealth Day hosted by the National Association of Real Estate Brokers on April 12th from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. I’ll be at Reid Temple AME Church in Glenn Dale, Maryland.
